New Directions?

What direction do you think Electronic Dance Music will take on next? I have always closely followed the ever-shifting paths EDM has taken & I'm very excited to see what is on the horizon. If anyone can add to my discussion( trends,new styles,etc.) I'd like to converse about it with you. Thanks, Ghost

I don't track it too closely, I find good shit, I play the good shit =) Of course whats good for me isn't good for everyone, but for me its drummy, its tribal, its a touch of latin, it MOVES.

All I have to say is bring it, and I will dance.
I think that EDM is going to be fluent on more levels than just the dance club.
I think that one day everyone will speak the language of soul and get the fuck down!

I think we (djs) will soon start to follow the new trend by having little microchips implanted into our brains that will store all of our music AND allow a radio frequency to control the digital turntables by our mind mixing. Endless possibilities for us and robots alike.

I think that EDM is in a transition phase. A lot of dj's are having to become producers to get recognition now, and thats gonna result in a lot of crappy stuff till all the new people get the hang of it. The good thing is that when all these fresh producers grow their roots there's gonna be a lot of badass music. I see the indie dance / nu disco making it big, it's a good bridge between the sub 18 group and us old skool Tech junkies.
