This can be done on other mixers too.

Since there is a big blank space on the other side of the face plate across from the headphone jack I decided to try to add a second one. I used the efx switches as PFL switches for the other headphone jack. It is pretty easy to do. just crack it open look at how the headphone jack is wired up and drill a new hole on the other side of the faceplate, rewire the efx lines as the new PFL's and put back together.

Now you can put this mixer in between 2 sets of decks with 2 other mixers and have an awesome battle session. This also works good to teach someone how to mix.

The reason for this is so you will not have to listen to what the other person is listening to when you try to cue up a record.

Good Deal my Friend! do you have to solder the wires?

Yes you have to completely rewire and solder quite a bit. It is pretty simple to do on the PMC 17-A due to the extra efx switches and the big blank spot on the right side of the mixer.

I wish I had it still, I would crack it open to show a video of it. hmm maybe soon since I do this kinda stuff as much as I can.

Will post more mods soon (with pics and video)

Ok guys I am now looking for one of these mixers. It is my favorite of all time due to the way the PFL sound works for cue.

If I find one cheap I will make a complete mod video with the full process of how to.

Student loans = New decks !
