Please tell us about yourself.

I started DJ'ing at 16. I went through hobby after hobby before I found the decks but the first time the beats clicked in my head that was it. The first record I ever bought was Rabbit in the Moon's remix of Possession by Sarah McLachlan from the Alternative Record Store in Temple Terrace in 1996. The Tampa clubs back then were in the heyday of Florida Breaks, but at the same time I was getting turned on to Sasha, Digweed, Keoki, and Josh Wink - and scooting up to Simon's every chance I could get. I ended up mixing the two and playing breaks over progressive tunes, which was a pretty unique sound at the time (think K5 + Cafe Del Mar, or Loose Caboose + Sacred Cycles). I perfected my craft for years, joining internet newsgroups and mailing tapes (yes, I said tapes) and CD's out all over the world. Despite positive feedback and years of work - the scene peaked, the revolution ended, and I went back to my day job..... then along came YourCrate.com and the idJ2. The combination of which got my creative juces flowing, my web cam filtering, and my neighbors complaining. DJ'ing is a wonderful hobby if nothing else and with the advent of mp3's and digital mixing, and the instant audience of YourCrate.com - it has a place in my life once again.
